The Motherhood Foundation (MFI) and The Association For Research On Mothering (ARM) have begun work to establish a world-class International Museum Of Motherhood to promote the new field of motherhood studies and the evolution of family, while honoring the achievements of women who are mothers in perpetuity. Ongoing activities include a broad reaching campaign of exhibits, displays, projects, literary works, films and internet outreach to display of the initial phases of The Museum Of Motherhood and to build momentum.
The Motherhood Foundation is a certified nonprofit 501c3 creating, producing and presenting visual, literary, educational, academic, performing arts exhibits which celebrate, nurture and support women with a special emphasis on mothers, and their activities. MFI pays tribute to mothers (Moms) and gives individuals and groups of Moms opportunities for artistic, academic, and cultural presentations they might not otherwise have; free of age, race and socio-economic barriers. MFI cares about, and acts upon the status of women, mothers and families, while addressing important issues, creating meaningful content, and providing compelling educational and community experiences.
